Daniel Weedman, the founder of the Starburst Galaxies theory, met the Quantum alumni
A seminar entitled Starburst Galaxies was conducted at Quantum College on the 5th of November by Daniel Weedman, the founder of the Starburst Galaxies theory of celestial objects, professor and leading researcher at the Cornell University.
After a brief autobiographic introduction, he passed on to a curious representation of the problems confronted by scientists, notably the exceeding blue radiation discovered in Margaryan's galaxies by the Schmidt telescope in Byurakan Observatory and their explanation.
The seminar was full of beautiful and impressive images accompanied by a breathtaking speech. The audience listened to the experienced professor with keen attention and curiosity, and after the seminar, a group of IB students surrounded our guest asking him numerous questions. At the end of the rendez-vous the scientists discussed the challenges confronted by science. Mr. Weedman also expressed his admiration for the students' challenging questions and their fluency in English. He noted to have met former Quantum alumni numerous times and to have been greatly impressed by them. Daniel Weedman promised to visit Quantum during his next visit to Armenia, on the purpose of conduction more interesting seminars and meetings with our students.
