The First School Bell Rings

On September 1, all the educational institutions of the country are celebrating the Day of Knowledge. A day that is especially important for the first graders and their parents as it marks the beginning of a new stage in their life. Early in the morning the courtyard of Quantum College new building was already in a festive mood. Mr Hayk Asatryan, Head of Yerevan Municipality Urban Development and Land Control Department read the message of Yerevan mayor. Ms Araksya Simonyan welcomed the first graders on behalf of the school board. The day was full of wishes and hopes. The number of Quantum College graduates who return to the College already as parents rises from year to year. Coming back to the College for the second time these graduates entrust the responsible task of their children’s upbringing and education to their beloved College. Arpine Harutyunyan welcomed those present on their behalf. Deputy Head of the student council Serine Nazaryan and IB DP 2016 graduate Lusya Manukyan also welcomed their little friends.
The warm words were followed by the most awaited moment: first meeting with the teachers who will become their first companions and friends on the way to the vast land of knowledge. The first graders received College emblems from their teachers which marks their becoming a Quantum College student. Accompanied by the sound of the first bell, the kids went up to the hall where they were greeted by second and third graders who had prepared a short concert for them. The unforgettable day was summed up in the classrooms where the first graders played games with their teachers and peers. 
The 1st of September is the first day of getting to know the school for first graders that is why it remains in their memory for an entire lifetime as one of the most vivid and remarkable moments.  We congratulate our little students once again wishing them success in their education.
